The picturesque scenery of one of the Balinsasayao lakes is depicted here by the artist.
Lake Balinsasayao, or more commonly known as the "Twin Lakes" in its local community is located north of Negros Island Philippines. It is an enormous rain forest and ecosystem that is home to about 180 species of dipterocarp and non-dipterocarp trees, 113 species of birds, 27 mammals and 49 species of amphibians and reptiles.
Lake One - which meets the tourists first as soon as they arrive in the area, is about 92 meters in depth. While Lake Two which is situated on a higher ground from Lake One, is deemed deeper than the first, with a depth of 102 meters.
Not a lot of people realize though is that these "Twin Lakes" if spotted from above by small planes or most likely helicopters, is shaped like a guitar.
